What's a Budget Plan reconciliation?

A Budget Plan spreads the cost of your estimated annual usage over twelve equal payments. If you cancel the Budget Plan in winter, there may be a debit balance as this is when you use the most energy. Likewise, if you cancel the Budget Plan in the summer months, when your usage is lower, there may be a credit on the account.

Any debit or credit will show separately, in the Gas and Electricity sections, on the bill issued the month after the Budget Plan is cancelled.

Having a smart meter installed would mean we no longer need to estimate your usage. This means more accurate bills. You can book your smart meter installation today in the Clubhouse.
