What do the screens on my electricity prepayment meter mean?

You can find out lots of information from your electricity prepayment meter. Don't worry if it all seems a bit confusing, we've created this useful guide below to show you the information you can see on each screen. To flick through the screens, just press the blue button on the meter:

Screen Description What this means
A Display test Default display which shows the blue button is working
B Emergency reset amount Shows any amount that'll repay emergency credit with the next top up
C Time Shows the time (in GMT)
D Date Shows the date and tariff (pence per kWh)
E Total credit accepted Shows the total amount of credit paid on the meter
F Total weekly charges Shows the weekly standing charge (and includes any weekly repayment rate)
G Total energy consumed The total amount of electricity used on the meter

Day (Normal) unit reading

Shows the day register meter reading
I Day (Normal) time pence per unit Shows the day rate tariff
J Night (Low) unit rate Shows the night register meter reading (if applicable)
K Night (Low) time pence per unit Shows the night rate tariff (if applicable)
R Emergency credit Shows how much emergency credit is available (insert key)
S Total debt outstanding Shows amount of debt on meter (insert key)
T Debt repayment rate Shows the weekly fixed amount to be paid off in instalments
