The meter serial number on my bill is wrong. What should I do?

Don't worry if the serial number showing on your meter does not match the one showing on your bill. Sometimes, the meter may be changed without us being told of the new details.

Before you call us, please go to the meter and look for a sticker (or a tag hanging from the pipework). This should show some details about when the meter was changed. Please note down these details:

  • the old meter serial number (this'll be a mix of letters and numbers)
  • the new meter serial number (this'll will be a mix of letters and numbers)
  • the date the meter was exchanged
  • the meter readings on the exchange date

Once you've contacted us with this information, we'll make the changes to your bill.
